Anybody seen Perfect Blue or Vampire Hunter D (both films), any thoughts on the films & how good they are. And can anybody recommend any other more serious adult toned anime stories. Don't really enjoy things like One Piece, Naruto, Ghost in the Shell, or Spirited Away. I like Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Street Fighter II, Cowboy Bebop, preferably films over TV shows. |

You don't like Studio Ghibli films?! I think they're the most beautiful, if odd, collection of films I've ever watched. Princess Mononoke being my fave of the bunch, give that watch! |

I heard so much about the Ghibli films so when I saw'em all last year on Film4 I was disappointed with most of their films especially Spirited Away, thought Princess Mononoke was good & I do love Porco Rosso & Laputa: The Castle in the Sky wasn't too bad. |
